Character Development with Academic Excellence
After a decade of committed and laudable service in the medical field, Dr.Muthuraja MBBS DCH, has stretched his wings in the field of educational service.
Under the direct guidance and care of Dr.Muthuraja, Raja Nursery and Primary School embarked on its mission of moulding young minds on 2nd October 2006.
It is been efficiently managed by Mrs. Alamelu Sathya Priya MCA, B.Ed, a highly motivated individual and a mentor to all children.
Apart from being an educator she strongly believes that a child’s formative years (the first six years of life), are most crucial to optimize development. Thus she delights in working towards her vision of bringing positive development in children by creating high learning environment.
Vision
“Character Development With Academic Excellence” has been the governing principle of all endeavours in the school. The school at every step, big or small, is guided by the comprehensive educational philosophy “Education should be for life and not for a living”. The emphasis is on a sound general education, self discipline and self reliance.
Our vision is directed to ensure that every child is equipped with
- The skills to be independent & confident.
- Effective communication skills.
- The ability to lead, think creatively and work as a team.
- The virtues of sharing and privilege of taking turns.
- The ability to analyze any situation & behave appropriately.
- Knowledge about cultural and religious events.
- Spiritual& moral values.
- Basic skills-linguistic, artistic, mathematical & scientific.
Principles that Guide our Curriculum are
- We believe that for children to learn, teaching has to be stimulating, challenging, varied, progressive and most importantly, purposeful.
- We maintain ideal student-teacher ratio so as to increase effectiveness in learning.
- We insist upon regular play timings as we are well aware that a sound body leads to a sound mind.
- Projects, co-curricular activities, field trips, special celebrations are a part of our curriculum. Learning therefore is not limited to classroom and we provide unmatched exposure through such programmes.
- We believe that children need to spend quality time at home therefore mechanical, meaningless, repetitive home work will not be given.
- We ensure that the children receive positive feedback on their performance which encourages them to express their maximum potential.
We know that children enter school with differing needs, levels of ability and pre-school experiences. Taking these differences into account all children are served with equal opportunities.
